FAQs

Our head office is in Brisbane, however, we are an online-only business.
No. We are exclusively online. This way we can work with you no matter where you live in Australia.
No, we are strictly retail only. We do not sell gemstones or diamonds to the jewellery trade.
All jewellery is made to order. We do not hold stock of rings, gemstones or diamonds.
Jewellery is sent via Australia Post Express Post with signature and transit insurance. Courier services are also available when required.
It isn't always possible to get the size right first time. One free resize is offered within six months of purchase. It is important to note that not all styles are suitable for resize. This will be discussed with you during the design process.
Usually not. We are designers and manufacturers of new jewellery pieces. We can sometimes refer you to a jeweller who will do this for you.
Broadly speaking yes. It is something that is assessed on a case-by-case basis as it does depend on the original metal and the condition of any diamonds or gemstones it contains.
We do not. In some cases we can incorporate your old jewellery into new pieces, but we are not licensed to buy old jewellery.
As many of our customers are interstate, we created a process that works well by email. Since we started (back in 2007, when it was a novel way of doing business) we have worked this way. This way we can share images and write detailed descriptions of all aspects of the ring design. It gives you more opportunities to ask questions and to get more involved in the design process. Phone calls are welcome too. Zoom is a thing that we have managed to avoid thus far. If you would like a head start on designing an engagement ring check out this handy design guide.
Please ask us to post you a ring sizer. If you want it to be a surprise, you will have to get creative. If they wear a ring on the ring finger of the left hand (or even the right, we can work with that) an accurate internal diameter measurement is needed. Otherwise, you may be able to sneak one of our ring sizers on their finger during deep sleep, or enlist a friend in the process. Talk to us about this and we will offer further suggestions.
No. All of our jewellery is handmade from scratch in either Mullumbimby or Brisbane. The only exception to handmakes is for jewellery findings such as some earring fittings or chains and clasps. Recycled metal options are sourced for this.
We specialise in rings. Engagement, commitment, wedding, eternity and more. However, we are happy to work with you on other jewellery projects. Past pieces include: pendants, earrings and cuff-links.
Platinum and nine and 18 carat rose, white and yellow gold. Some pieces may have silver accents, but we don't make whole rings from silver. Palladium is no longer offered as it is currently too expensive and platinum is a stronger/ lower priced option. All of our metal is recycled. We can also source fair mined yellow gold if that is your preference.
You can as long as they are in perfect condition and suitable for setting in jewellery. In this case an independent valuation certificate will not be free of charge.
Once the design is decided and the deposit paid, you can expect three to four weeks for classic wedding rings and anything from five to eight weeks for engagement and other gem or diamond set rings or pendants. Rings with engraving (wedding or otherwise) allow an additional week. COVID has delayed the arrival of some internationally sourced gems and diamonds. If this happens you will be advised at the time of order. The same applies to delays caused by lockdowns...and life.
You could spend $3,000 or you could spend $30,000+. However, most (gemstone, lab or smaller mined diamond) engagement rings we share on social media typically sit in the $4,500 - $8,000 range. Larger mined diamonds and special gemstone rings will cost more. To learn more about engagement ring pricing, here is a ring budget guide For the prices of classic wedding rings.
Unfortunately, we do not buy gemstones/diamonds (or jewellery) from suppliers we don't currently have relationships with. As we are an ethical jewellery company, new supplier relationships are usually through peer recommendations.
