Moissanite butterfly engagement ring
Details: The main band of this ring is made with recycled palladium and features a half bezel set moissanite as the main stone. The ring is accented with hammer set recycled diamonds and vintage rubies (supplied by the customer from Grandma’s ring). Note the stylised butterfly engraving on both sides.
The ring is also pictured with its matching recycled palladium and hammer set recycled diamond wedding ring. This is a very easy style to wear and works as a wedding ring or a standalone ring. It could also be an engagement ring for those who prefer something low profile and understated.
Size: The centre moissanite* is a ‘Forever One – Hearts and Arrows’ from Charles and Colvard. It is 6mm in diameter. This weighs 68 points (100 points in a carat) and equivalent diamond would be 80 points.
The vintage rubies were taken from a vintage ring owned by the customers grandmaother and are 2mm each. The diamonds in the engagement ring are post-consumer recycled G/H Si measuring 1.2mm. The diamonds in the wedding band are also post-consumer recycled and measure 1.5mm each.
*Moissanite is a popular lab-grown diamond alternative. It has a hardness of 9.5 on the Moh’s scale and is a robust choice for daily wear. If you would like to learn more, visit Charles and Colvard.
